Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana )
Description: Urdhva Hastasana is a basic yogic asana (pose), and a Sanskrit name translated as “raised hands pose.” It is also sometimes called as talasana translated as “palm tree pose.” (Tala = Palm Tree)
Techniques:
1.Inhale and raise your arms while your palms facing away from your torso and thumbs point backward. Interlace your fingers above your head. Reach your arms towards the ceiling or sky.
Torso
- Feel the side stretch of your body while pressing the palms of your hands and fingers.
Benefits
The pose will stretch the shoulder, and armpit muscles. It will also stretch the belly muscles improving digestion. It helps relieve mild anxiety.
